Pre-K Texture Rubbings

Elements of Art: Texture. Students can...

• Tell what texture means
• Describe the texture of objects when touched: rough, bumpy, smooth, silky, hard, soft, etc.
• Create texture by rubbing on texture sheets.

We used the old wallpaper samples for this activity. Students put the textured sheet under their paper and rub it sideways with a crayon to get the texture print.
