Pre-K Texture Rubbings

Elements of Art: Texture. Students can...

• Tell what texture means
• describe the texture of objects when touched: rough, bumpy, smooth, silky, hard soft, etc.
• create texture by rubbing on texture sheets.

We used the old wallpaper samples for this activity. Students put the textured sheet under their paper and rubbed with crayon sideways to get the texture print.
