What a fun lesson! We viewed a short video clip of Michelangelo and his paintings on AEA Learn360. We talked about the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. We learned that it took Michelangelo 4 long backbreaking years to paint the ceiling and 6 years to paint the altar wall of the Sistine Chapel. What it must have been like to lay on his back and paint for hours and hours in for so many years? Students had to try it out.

They had so much fun. They even asked if they could do it again tomorrow. 
They were complaining about their arms and paint dripping on their face.
