The 2nd grade started work on the Chihuly bottle project. Since they were the first class to do this project, they had to experiment a couple of things to see which materials work best for this school-wide sculpture. At first, they wrapped the bottle with foil, twisting it all the way to the end leaving a pointy top. After that, they spread glue all over the tin foil, then wrapped green tissue paper around it. The kids were frustrated because the tissue ripped easily and some didn't stick to the foil-leaving some foil exposed. So the next day, I had the kids paint the bottle with green tempera paint. The result is yet to be discovered...
